I believe that in order for someone to manage something properly they must first demonstrate they can do so in their personal life.  Several years ago I realized that not only is it a biblical requirement but it would also benefit my day to day life to get out of debt.  It took nearly two years for my wife and I to pay off over $75k in debt but 5 years later we are still debt free with the exception of our house and it is well on its way as well!  There is no doubt that the lessons learned from my personal finances have help my department flourish even during the last recession.  My current position requires that I manage over half a million dollars in inventory.  We have currently average $550,000 in monthly sales with a gross profit margin of over 40% while maintaining a net of over 51%. If you're wanting someone who thinks outside the box and is willing to be an example of what he expects than you have a good match.  However, if you are looking for someone to follow rank and file, never ask questions, or are looking for someone that is willing to sacrifice their integrity for a dollar......keep looking....no need to apply. I am an incredible loyal and hard worker that always overdelivers but will always hold true to my integrity and values above all.
